Photo's of the Feb/Mar 2000 trip to Tasmania
Forgotten Lake
During our trip to Tasmania, we visited Lake St Clair National Park and did the day walk to Mt Rufus. On the way we stopped for a rest at Forgotten Lake, where Bernie took this picture. About 3 minutes later, the breeze had picked up, rippling the surface of the water.
We have had this picture printed on canvas and has come out like a work of art.
Mt Rufus
We have taken 360 degrees worth of shots from Mt Rufus. This is the view looking towards Cradle Moutain.
Big Trees
This still living Huon Pine tree (left) that dwarfs me is a survivor from Dip River.
The Section of Huon Pine tree that I'm with (right) is over 2,000 years old. The tag just to the left of the missing centre is depicting the birth of Jesus Christ. The rest mark various events up to 1974, when the tree was removed for the construction of the Gordon Dam.
